On March 21st, the first national seminar on the research and application of amorphous alloy catalysts in the field of catalysis was held in Chongqing. The attendees unanimously agreed that amorphous alloys have unique advantages as catalysts.
At the meeting, Zou Zhigang, academician of the CAS Member and professor of Nanjing University, Meng Dongfang, president of Chongqing Normal University, and Zhang Qun, general manager of Chongqing Youti Industry Co., Ltd. delivered speeches. Ten experts, including Wang Weihua (online), academician of the CAS Member and director of the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, Lv Jian, academician of the French National Academy of Technology and director of the Hong Kong Branch of the National Precious Metal Materials Engineering Technology Research Center, made theme reports. Zhang Hua, Secretary General of the Amorphous Alloy Application Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association (referred to as the Association's Amorphous Branch), presided over the opening ceremony. Yu Peng, Vice Dean of the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering at Chongqing Normal University, and Guo Shengfeng, Vice Dean of the School of Materials and Energy at Southwest University, presided over the morning and afternoon meetings, respectively.
Zou Zhigang believes that amorphous alloy catalytic materials have a series of advantages, such as rich surface active sites, highly adjustable physicochemical properties, and stability beyond crystalline catalytic materials. As a new type of catalyst, they have unique advantages and application potential, and have been widely used in fields such as automobile exhaust treatment, energy conversion, organic synthesis, and green catalysis.
Meng Dongfang also stated that in recent years, amorphous alloy catalysts, as a new type of catalytic material, have gradually gained widespread attention in the industry due to their unique advantages such as higher catalytic activity, more flexible composition adjustment, and lower biological costs.
In the report link, Wang Weihua, Lv Jian, Liu Lin (professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Yu Peng, Wang Bing (assistant professor of the School of Physics of Nanjing University), Guo Shengfeng, Qin Chunling (professor of Hebei University of Technology), Wang Junhu (researcher of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), Ruan Wenqing (associate researcher of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Control Engineering of Shenzhen University), Jiang Sida (associate professor of Harbin University of Technology) conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the design, preparation, performance optimization and other issues of amorphous alloy catalysts, shared the latest research results of amorphous alloy catalysts in the field of catalysis, and looked forward to the application prospects of amorphous alloy catalysts in related fields.
Meng Dongfang also pointed out that this conference has taken an important step in exploring the research and application of amorphous alloy catalysts in the field of catalysis, providing an important communication platform and academic guidance for research in related fields. In his concluding speech, Yu Peng also stated that at this seminar, the attendees jointly discussed the latest research achievements and application prospects of amorphous alloy catalysts in the field of catalysis, making positive contributions to promoting the overall level and industrial development of amorphous alloy catalysts in China.
It is reported that this conference is hosted by Chongqing Normal University, Southwest University, Chongqing Physical Society, and the Amorphous Branch of China Electronics Association, co organized by Chongqing Youtai Industrial Co., Ltd., and organized by Jiangsu Bimdi New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. More than 130 representatives from research institutes, universities, and related enterprises in the fields of amorphous alloys and catalysis attended the meeting.
